Parking Management Inc. (PMI) is the Miami Valley’s
largest parking company with responsibility
for over 50 parking lots and parking garages
totaling 20,000 parking spaces in and around
downtown Dayton. The majority shareholder in
PMI is Paul Hutchins, who manages
PMI through his commercial real estate company,
Hutchins Commercial Realty, Inc.
PMI maintains the parking responsibilities
for properties that include parking garages
for Sinclair Community College, Relizon Corporation,
Miami Valley Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital,
the Fidelity Building, Transportation Center,
Dayton City Hall and the Fifth Third Bank Building.
Throughout all of the parking facilities managed
by PMI the company is working to improve the
parking surfaces, landscaping, lighting, upgrade
security, and install equipment with payment
options beyond just cash, such as credit card
or debit card payments. Many of these changes
will continually benefit downtown businesses
and consumers, who work, live, dine or socialize
there.
Parking Management Inc. has long been a respected
Miami Valley company. PMI was founded in 1935
with one lot in downtown Dayton. The company
changed hands in 1960 and again in 1992 before
the recent acquisition in 2004. Plans provide
for Parking Management, Inc. to continue growing
within the Miami Valley and expanding their
role as a Federal Equipment representative and
a service partner with Signature Controls.
